Island Excursion
Hello everyone! Daniel here! :D
Gotten too sian of work already... so I decided to take a look at Sisters' Island on Google Earth
(selected line = 229m)
(selected line = 349m)
(selected line, dist from class bench to high school canteen = 448m)
And I realised that the island is really, really small... like around the size of the high school school field maybe? (all the 3 photos were taken at the same zoom btw) Also, there are photos of the islands themselves.
When do you guys want to go, in Nov or in Jan?
Additionally, another option that I would suggest for consideration is St. John's Island (you know, the one they used for quarantine a long long time ago!) which is nearby, but it has a regular ferry! and proper lodging with electricity and stuff. It has a lagoon (multiple actually!) Oh and it has a tennis court for Chen Long to play tennis (Y) and a giant chessboard for ... hmm, Tze Han to play human chess? Because on Sisters' Island most people probably won't want to stay for more than 1 night I guess? So with more liveable conditions we could stay 3 or 4 nights ...
And we must dunk people! Like Willie! Dunk Willie in the lagoon is (Y)
Happy mugging for promos everyone! Don't forget to do your homework. And PW! And Happy Teachers' Day!
AND CONGRATZ SAM LEE ON THE MR. HUMOUROUS WIN. (Now treat us :D)

Proposal for Cleanliness of CT Benches
eh i think i am supposed to come up with this crap right. it is quite crap but heres the proposal anyway, comment / tell me where to edit if possible thanks! from your hardworking and responsible estate rep :D
Civics Group: 09S6K
What is observed: “Left and Right Wings… very messy state with litters everywhere…”
- Visually unappealing
- Added workload for cleaners
Solutions: - The Scare Factor
- Post an SMB message to the entire C1 and C2 cohorts with images captured by the security cameras of students exhibiting behavior that contributes to the mess
- Students will naturally watch their actions with the knowledge that the security cameras are observing each and every move of theirs.
- Security cameras can then be left to be dummy cameras that act as a deterrent to behavior exhibiting a lack of social concern.
- The Scoring System
- High School Section adopts this system – classes have their cleanliness judged by a school official on any random day of the week, without their prior knowledge.
- Results are posted on SMB – this serves to shame classes that fail to keep their respective class benches clean.
- Civic tutors are likely to ensure their classes do a good job keeping their benches clean considering their reputation is at stake.
- Bring Your Bin
- Rationale: Having to walk a significant distance to the nearest rubbish bin causes lazy people to dispose of their rubbish in the most convenient way possible.
- Instead of introducing more rubbish bins to the Left and Right Wings, which would impose an extra cost to the school, classes may bring their own bins.
- Classes just have to bring a mini-bin which is relatively cheap to purchase. A possible way is to split the cost among all students, or get someone with any spare bin at home to contribute it.
- Rules Are Rules
- All class bags are to be left extremely close to the bench or on the bench itself.
- Estate Rep or CT Rep (if Estate Rep is non-existent) of each class is to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the class bench before they go home every day.
- Classmates to remind Estate Rep or CT Rep to do their jobs.

ICE SKATING
YAY!! and ice skating is tomorrow!! :DDDDD (3rd july)
Time: 12.15nn - 4pm++
Venue: Kallang Ice World, Leisure Park Kallang
(meet at Kallang MRT station, there's a shuttle bus at 12.38pm at the bus stop outside Kallang mrt station, so be there by 12.30pm!)

Since some people cant make it at 12nn, we'll go for class lunch first at around 1pm when we reach there. There are quite a few food outlets at the leisure park, so there'l be quite alot of choices. So the actual ice skating will be starting about 2pm.
And the ice skating will prob be around 2pm-4pm, cos bad news:
Price: $17.50 for 2 hours min, incl. rental (but after that additional $5/hr applies)
sigh the last part wasnt mentioned the last few times we called to ask. so if those of you who dont want to pay the extra $5/hour, then the ice skating will be from about 2pm - 4pm. So remember to bring enough money, for ticket and for lunch (rough gauge: $30)
** the school will be giving us $10 per person for the GEMS (after receipts are submitted), so treat it as a subsidy xDD
**pay $17.50 to wengjue tomorrow so that we can buy 26 tickets together and there wont be 26 receipts D:
Attire: long pants, warm clothing (it can be quite cold!!), gloves (ice is cold and wet after falling down ><), jacket, etc etc - please bring enough warm clothing, you dont want to be freezing for 2+ hours and catch a cold!
And yes, bring a camera too if possible! :D it's a good chance to get funny class photos. and GEMS need photos to show our learning xD
if you need more info, you can also visit: http://www.leisurepark.com.sg/ice_skating.html
YEP! see u'all latest by 12.30pm tmr at kallang mrt station! :)

The Lost Generation
Presenting the Declaration of the Lost Generation
I am part of a lost generation
and I refuse to believe that
I can change the world
I realize this may be a shock but
“Happiness comes from within.”
is a lie, and
“Money will make me happy.”
So in 30 years I will tell my children
they are not the most important thing in my life
My employer will know that
I have my priorities straight because
work
is more important than
family
I tell you this
Once upon a time
Families stayed together
but this will not be true in my era
This is a quick fix society
Experts tell me
30 years from now, I will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of my divorce
I do not concede that
I will live in a country of my own making
In the future
Environmental destruction will be the norm
No longer can it be said that
My peers and I care about this earth
It will be evident that
My generation is apathetic and lethargic
It is foolish to presume that
There is hope.
And all of this will come true unless we choose to reverse it...
Now, read it backwards....

OK I really feel like spamming this blogpost with maple screenshots but then you all will probably feel bored at my craziness -.- and i think i lot of people think that playing maple is a waste of time -.- but then! ok anyway... since most people have no idea at all what maplestory is i shall put some ss here =)

Random GP work...
As suggested by Yingda, I'll post my group's answers about arts on the class blog... This is my first time to post something here, thus a bit nervous...haha...and...make all of you live in a healthier life by laughing more!Ok...This kind of answers were created because Jingxing, Jiawen and I are a bit 'wuliao' in the GP class and arts are something that we can make fun with!

Not very clear, but I cannot come up with a better way to show since I do not have a scanner...
Ok, that's all. Enjoy life and enjoy your tutorials...I am almost dying... Oh, and...happy b'day to Pengpeng and Geok Ting! Sorry Pengpeng, I did not make your wedding with Yaojiejie a real one because our lovely treasurer/princess Weng Jue does not have enough fund! Enjoy your 17th year on the earth!

Proof for Question 31
Thanks to 4th in Singapore Mathematical Olympiad, our beloved 17 years and 1 day old Peng Hui, tada the prove for people who do not how to start. Let's discuss about it tomorrow!
Example 31
Proof: Let P(n) denote the statement: an+1>an .
(a) P(1) is true: a2=3^(1/2)>1=a1
(b) If P(k) is true for some k(k=natural number), then ak+1>ak. Therefore
ak+1=(2+ak)^(1/2)> (2+ak-1)^(1/2)= ak.
Therefore P(k+1) is true.
Therefore by the Principle of Mathematical Induction. P(n) is true for all n(n=natural number).

Fac Outing
Hi guys, don't really know much details about Artemis Fac Outing except for it being on 2nd May, Sat... Well I also know that each class has to dress up their own Fac prince and princess (Weng Jue and I -_-).
Posted by Willie Wee at 8:49 PM 0 comments
Sigh! Yingda complains that I misrepresented her! But anyway she admits being a high and crazy girl.
ANYWAY. Today is a crazy day. Me haidee and dada went to bookshop to collect GP files. And I was holding on to the clear pockets and dada holding 1 file and haidee holding a box of files. She claims it can train her for NAPFA. Then I went to the toilet, so dada helped me hold the pocket files. Then when I came out! She refused to pass me back my clear pockets and then I had nothing to do! So I decided to snatch files from haidee, but she refused, and kept wailing loudly! SO EMBARRASSING! ><
ok nevermind
If iim not wrong we are taking part in inter ct blog? which means we have to blog about improvements to the school? I was thinking, the school should have more bright and airy places to do homework... class bench is too congested! And there should be small music rooms so people can go play piano! >< And more random benches around haha.
LASTLY! HAVE A GOOD GOOD FRIDAY! =D remember to sleep well. Especially for people like me who stayed up to do PI ><
Oh no I'm so tired I can't think well and this blog post is incoherenttt ><
P.S. LIBRARY CLUB IS FUNNN!

Random bits and pieces
Something that I came across when trying to draw lewis structures - http://www.kentchemistry.com/links/bonding/lewisdotstruct.htm
Found their animations and explanations quite useful!
There's Econs essay test tmr + PW(PI) this Thu... need to mug for econs! Not to mention all the PIP/ILP etc
On a lighter note, Council week has come upon the school! some of the interesting happenings of this week:
- decreased IQ for everyone
- more coke (did anyone drink it?)
- more BUBBLES
- Willie getting owned by bubbles
- Chen Long kena injury when kicking off from the side of the swimming pool
- quote Haidee: "AHHH I SWALLOWED A BUBBLE"
- Chen Long getting crutches (see previous photo!)
- Everyone playing and testing out Chen Long's crutches
- He continuing to niao everyone despite being on crutches
- We getting a 2hour break because of council nominee intro!
- Mini-Paralympics relay race (Chen Long flies on his crutches for a while, then gets carried by Willie)
- Running into Kent Toh and getting scolded for "not taking care of your classmate and forcing him to walk so far" etc.
- Various subjects reps being suaned with "dun wan" cries when trying to 呼吁 people to go to the respective tutorial
- Pizza on April Fools' day!
- Peer-to-Peer (P2P!) transfer of seniors handphones *cough cough* / Hide-and-seek
- random other lectures and tutorials and academic thingies

Cheers!

eh heh heh :D STJ was fun!!! Thanks seniors :D
We must start to think about JTS soon. cough cough welfare rep cough :)))
and we must decide what we will do with the poll too. lol.
Quote from poll: "Votes so far: 34
Days left to vote: 83" -> more than enough people voted le (e.g. our excellent A CT rep who voted for the beach outing twice ;P), but there are still 83 days left to vote.
yay :D i shall continue with what happened yesterday.
Geokting and I went Vivocity earlier to explore :D Vivocity is a very tricky place, and Geokting and I nearly lost our way, cause there were many many escalators leading to many many places. (e.g. we took the escalator down to the carpark and came back up again)
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..
After dinner, we had a very educational tour around our Singapore Town, in the Singapore City Bus, to see Collyer Quay and Raffles Place, The Esplanade and all of us.
Turned out that Willie mistook something for Esplanade and Xinyi didnt know that white thing is the Civilian War Memorial. (orhor! xinyi never pay attention during our primary school SS tour.)
okay. i'm awake now :D sorry to bore everyone with these weird details :)))
have a happy and eventful holiday!
YAY GP REP cheers that there is no GP homework :DDD

HI! Why is it the chem rep who is posting again! >< Our welfare rep forced the chem rep to post! And even accused the chem rep of failing to do her duties, which are non existent! (like informing welfare rep of homework) I feel that the chem rep's welfare is compromised! =(
OK anyway, STJ. I have bad memory. I can't remember anythinggggg! ARGH! So I was caught in the huge huge rain so I was late by 30 mins! Terrible! And my whole pants was wet... was happily drying it under the air con on the bus and mrt >< The rain was slanted... and my umbrella couldn't shield me from the rain -.-
Main events:
1. We walked to the steamboat place!
2. We sat down and ate!
3. We walked to esplanade! And revealed angels!
4. Willie wee finds out about his angel
Oh no that was really very funny >< And zhihui and yisheng are 2 crazy seniors who are really lame -.- The way they sing the Loser song >< Willie don't be sad larh, we know you don't have the intellectual ability to deduce who your angel is... and you don't even bother trying to find out in the first place!
5. Tze han finds out about his angel
"Huh are you Mr. Sam Lee?" I have no comments about this cause this is a sensitive topic... you know teachers nowadays always visit student's blogs?
6. Geokting... her angel and mortal are the same. Jiajun is so funny! He was so happy when he found out that geokting bought 2 presents, one for angel and one for mortal! ><
7. we took a photo!
8. we marvelled at someone juggling water bottles.
YES I REENACTED STJ! =D Hopefully my faulty memory doesn't fail me ><

Hello! Your chem rep speaking here!
Just a reminder: remember to complete your chemistry problem asap because, as you all know, due to SSEF that every group has a missing member, Mr. Lee is trying to change chemistry lessons so we can present next week. So it could be any day! Therefore, being prepared is the best strategy! And Mr. Lee hasn't informed me if he has successfuly swapped lessons with anyone...
In short, remember to do your chem problem! -.-

90th Anniversary Dinner
Hello people! I'm here to ask if anyone wants to book a table(s) for the 90th anniversary founder's day gala dinner as a class ... JC side is charging $350 for a table (I assume it's 10 people per table), from what I heard from my juniors apparently at High School side they sold out of $35 tickets already so yeap let's do grab this opportunity as a class! xP
Anyway so yeap the gala dinner is at 7PM, 21 March (Saturday), in the March holidays! I'm sure you'll all be free by then so you'll be able to go righttt :P It's seriously not to be missed... They only hold such a big celebration (10k people D:D:) like every 5 or 10 years. It'll be a great opportunity for us to spend time together as a CT too (besides mugging, that is) :P
Seniors reading this: Why not book a table too! Or well, you could treat us to this for STJ :D since you wanted to hold STJ in the march holidays yup :D
Clarification of clarification: I testify that Hai Dee does indeed laugh like such: "Hur, hur, hur." Hai Dee is not normal. I'm speaking for the majority here so don't kill me kthx :D

2nd post for the day...
Like Leona, i succumbed to peer pressure...not to dance, but to write another post to add to the juicy bits of info that Haidee have posted on.
Erm...for those who didn't go for the dance session (like me...i confess), think the video on Youtube is not bad as a learning tools. I realise that i can follow through, except that the sequence i am not so sure of. Nonetheless, i like some validation of some sort...can anyone who attend the dance session second my viewpoint?
I am generally worried (all of a sudden about POP on Friday)...seems to me that there is a fine line between being a klutz and a dancer...and there is just so much to do.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When SSEF comes up, i hope that we can support each other as a class. HCI never send people to the fair (as far as i know), so it would boost much support if we can come together to the Science Centre on exhibition day (12th March, after lessons). It's also a great opportunity to learn something new as well. So hope you guys will make the effort!

I've said my piece...tada...:D

hello people :D im here to revive the blog too!
i really think the 90th anniversary run was fun! as in its a very very nice and excellent change to normal PE lessons, and you get to run 2.4 at any pace you like!
And being the wonderful GP rep that I am, I'm here to remind everyone about some monetary issues.
Newsweek: $36.30
GP Fund (for GP notes and GP file): $20.00
So a normal person who paid the $54.30 already, just pass me $2. Those who dont want Newsweek pay $20.00. Then those who havent paid me both/ are very rich and want to pay again, pass me $56.30
I would also like to clarify Leona's misconception about me! I dont laugh like "hur hur hur". I laugh normally.
YAY!!! POP is on friday. Eileen thinks that it might overwrite CCA, so just pon CCA and go! And those who dont know the steps, go for the fac dance session TOMORROW somewhere in Hwachong (I dont know where sorry!) -"if the whole class goes, the entire faculty comm will salute to us!!!" (as quoted from our fac head)
Or mug on youtube! The video which is slower by 50% is quite hilarious ahaha!
- haidee xD
Posted by haidee at 7:00 PM 0 comments
Hello! Posting at such a late hour!
Anyway, shall talk about the 90 rounds we ran in PE! >< It was fun! (Since this is a class blog and teachers might come, I'd better post the positive stuff, not normative or negative -.-) Though at the end I felt like X_X and as if it was the worst time in my life, I survived! And so it was fun -.- to have such a rare experience.
And anyway today I was very amused by the thought that one could use a shower cap to measure area of scalp to estimate no. of hair on one's head! (Fermi problem ><) SO I KEPT LAUGHING! =) And our table - dada, me, geokting, haidee, yunfei & wengjue - kept laughing like mad during physics tutorial! >< Especially Haidee cause she laughs like this: Hur Hur Hur Hur Hur -.-
Anyway during MAC lesson, my mortal said "Now who can't understand this?" And Willie thought it was "老虎 can't understand this" And so Haidee started her "Hur Hur Hur Hur Hur" laugh again and it was quite embarassing! >< Must apologise to all those in LT4 including my ex cca mate, my og mate >< for disrupting their train of thoughts ><
OK and then after SMTP enrichment, I succumbed to peer pressure cause dada and xinyi and haidee keep forcing me to go fac dance. So I went! And I learnt all the dances! YAY!
OK, I REVIVED THIS BLOG!

Happy Birthday Mr. Lee!
Today, 24th Feburary is a solemn day... for our chemistry teacher, Mr. Sam Lee, is officially 33 years old young!
Posted by csamurai at 7:59 PM 0 comments
How sad...
All of a sudden, the crush comes in and i get all stressed out by all that crap. Like OSAP, awards, training and stuff...when CCA comes i think i am a piece of dead bak gwa (dead, chopped, fried and eaten).
Money again...$20 per person. I know it's quite a lot, but when you live in a world where money make the world go round...no one can really exempt you from payment.
Am looking for someone to take the place of the Treasurer. Whoever will be interested can come and sell yourself on election day and get the accounts + money from me. After doing treasurer's work for 1 year, i am pretty stressed out, SO DON'T ELECT ME AGAIN PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...

Hi everyone! Unlike the rest who post here about administrative stuff or photos, I am not going to do so... and is just posting to show that I do know how to use blogger and is not a hard core mugger. =)
If you realise, my name is "SpicataArpa", which means spear harp! Ahh, it also shows that I used blogger a long time ago, before blogger switched to using gmail accounts to log in =)
Just want to wish Wengjue a belated birthday! And if you all are planning to celebrate Clement's birthday, can do it in conjunction with wengjue's! =)
And to thank seniors for putting in effort to pass on the tradition - it is quite tiring to tie so many water bombs ><
I don't really take photos, so can't really post them... >< anyway i can tell that there are lots of others who are quite fast at posting photos... -.-

According to Daniel, our seniors wanna treat us to something. This is the convo btw him and Jeremy:
JeremyL says:
After campfire night, the seniors are thinking of giving a treat
Daniel says:
because we need to inform the class if it's going to be after campfire
Daniel says:
ah
JeremyL says:
so tell your classmates not to run off
JeremyL says:
we won't take long!
JeremyL says:
just maybe 30min or so la
Daniel says:
oh ok
Daniel says:
in school or where?
JeremyL says:
yea
JeremyL says:
head to the class bench once you're all done
Is the message clear enough?

If i am not wrong, our performance will be slated as tommorow. However, Willie has his own commitments in the morning, and for Clement, Qingyun, Tze Han, Chen Long, Geok Ting and me, we have the MOE OSAP briefing to attend from 1400hrs onwards. So there might be a larger reliance on the remaining students in the class...
Oh yeah, we are singing 彩虹 if i am not wrong. Here is the lyrics if your fancy it (for noobs like me, i would have loved it a lot).
Since Graduation is no longer part of the intented performance, hence no lyrics will be posted.

To the Admin people on the Facebook group...can add me as Admin as well? Thanks.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's all for now. Clement, you can put my pictures on the blog, should you think it humors the class...
